MIDDLETON, WI : 2 injured in crash on Highway 14 in Dane County on Wednesday, 21st October, 2020

Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash on Highway 14 on Wednesday night, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

The state Department of Transportation said the crash happened around 6:50 p.m. and involved three vehicles. All lanes were blocked in both directions from Twin Valley Road to Wayside Road in Middleton, but reopened at about 8:30 p.m.

A red SUV was attempting to turn off Highway 14 onto Wayside Rd. when it was hit by a van. The collision caused the SUV to spin on the wet road and enter the westbound lane of traffic on Highway 14, the release said. The SUV was hit by a Jeep.The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital. The driver of the van, a 29-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital. Both drivers have non-life threatening injuries, the release said.
