Riverside , CA : Driver arrested after allegedly trying to run over a pedestrian and crashing into a house on Wednesday night , January 14th 2115

Los Angeles police say a driver was arrested after allegedly trying to run over a pedestrian and crashing into a house.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/1B66GB2) residents in the Boyle Heights area were able to restrain the suspect after he tried to run off after the crash Wednesday night.

Arriving police officers took him into custody.

Police say the pedestrian was not injured when the suspect allegedly drove his 1997 Toyota onto the lawn and crashed into the house.

An investigation is ongoing.
