Sarasota County, FL : Biker dies and 4 hurt in Sarasota I-75 crash on Wednesday, 11th December, 2019

One motorcycle rider was killed and four were seriously injured in a crash with a truck Wednesday night on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

According to the FHP, David James Boland, 56, of Englewood; Roger Moore, 55, of Sarasota; Michael C. Houck, 40, of Sarasota; Donald W. Kidwell, 51, of Venice; and David R. Mashia, 50, of Venice were riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles south on I-75 on the Fruitville Road overpass at about 7:30 p.m.

Boland lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the right side of a Freightliner semi driven by William Suarez-Gonzalez, 49, of Miami. This caused the other bikers to lose control and crash.
