Yuma, AZ : 2 hurt in 6-vehicle collision on 16th Street on Wednesday, November 30th 2016
Two people were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center after a six-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon.
According to Lt. N. Dusek of the Yuma Police Department, the accident occurred at about 3:45 p.m. in the 800 block of West 16th Street.
“There was a semi that was traveling eastbound on 16th street and it ran into the back of another vehicle,” Dusek said. “It caused kind of a chain reaction with all the other vehicles involved. Two people were transported for minor injuries.”
The driver of the “Dump Truck” was also cited for a couple of civil violations, Dusek said. After the collision, the roadway was cleared at about 6:45 p.m.
Dusek said YPD could release more details about the collision as they become available.
