Allentown, PA : Motorcyclist injured badly on Hamilton Blvd. in South Whitehall hit-run crash on Wednesday night, August 3, 2016
A motorcyclist was seriously hurt Wednesday night in a hit-and-run collision with a car on Hamilton Boulevard in South Whitehall Township, according to police radio reports.
The 8:50 p.m. collision happened in the eastbound lanes about 500 feet east of Cedar Crest Boulevard. Officials radioed the motorcyclist was badly injured and the car fled the scene.
Cetronia Ambulance took the biker to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Information on his condition was not available. South Whitehall police said they will release information after their investigation.
Police late Wednesday were looking for a white car that fled. It may be a white Volkswagen Jetta or similar model, according to emergency radio reports.
Frank Rodriguez of Allentown, a friend of the injured motorcyclist, said the man is 23 years old and from New York. Two motorcyclists were riding together on separate bikes at the time of the crash, he said.
