Syracuse,NY : Don Barber, Syracuse rock legend, dies in all-terrain vehicle accident on May,Saturday 26th 2018

Don Barber, the founder of a rock and roll band popular in Syracuse in the 1960s, died Saturday from injuries suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident.

Barber, 75, of Homer, was a well-known musician and recording artist in the area for almost 60 years, touring and recording with Don Barber and the Dukes.

He had operated Donald L. Barber Funeral Home in Homer since 1968.

Don Barber and the Dukes recording of "I'll Be Blue," written by Barber and bandmate Chris Seyerle, reached No. 21 on the regional charts.
