Ralls County, MO : 77-year-old Franklin R. Hurd and 76-year-old Thresa D. Hurd injured in car crash on Route J near Perry on Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2016

Road conditions are being blamed for a Tuesday afternoon crash in Ralls County that left two people injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 3:08 p.m. on Route J, nine miles north of Perry.
A 2005 Ford F150 was being driven south by 77-year-old Franklin R. Hurd of Perry. The mishap occurred when the pickup slid off the snow-covered road and struck a tree.
Franklin R. Hurd, who was not wearing a safety device, sustained serious injuries. A passenger, 76-year-old Thresa D. Hurd of Perry, who was wearing a safety device, was left with moderate injuries.
Both were transported from the scene by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
