Durham,MO : Both drivers injured in head-on crash in Lewis County on April, Friday 27th 2018

Both drivers were injured when two vehicles collided head-on at 7:50 a.m. Friday in Lewis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2001 Buick LeSabre driven by Diana M. Helfric, 61, of Palmyra, was heading west on Mo. 6, about one mile west of Durham, when it crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2011 Hyundai Sonata driven by Sara J. Bartz, 35, of Ewing.

Helfric, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with what were described as moderate injuries.

Bartz, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by the Lewis County Ambulance Service to Blessing Hospital with moderate injuries.

Also assisting at the scene were the Lewis County Sheriff's Department and the Lewis County Fire Department.
