PECATONICA, IL : An 86-year-old Pecatonica woman died in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, May 30, 2017

An 86-year-old Pecatonica woman died Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 20.

The woman was a passenger in an SUV and she was wearing a seatbelt, according to a news release from the Winnebago County Coroner's Office.

The SUV was southbound on Conger Road at about 10:38 a.m. when it collided with an eastbound pickup truck, according to Illinois State Police reports. The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

The name of the woman who died is being withheld pending notification of family. Illinois State Police District 16 is investigating the crash.
