Homerville ,FL : Tifton man dies in Homerville crash on June, Thursday 22th 2017

A Tifton man died in a two-car crash west of downtown Homerville, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Samuel Tyler Russell, 29, was driving west in a 2006 Honda Civic when the car ran off the shoulder of U.S. 84, a short distance west of where the four-lane highway is divided into one-way pairs a block apart, the state patrol said.

Russell’s vehicle traveled about 40 feet off the road before he over-corrected as he steered the Civic back onto the road, a state patrol said.

The vehicle went into a spin for more than 100 feet and traveled into the eastbound lanes where it hit a 2003 Ford Explorer in a passenger side door, the report said.
