A 17-year-old has been charged in the wreck that took the lives of two motorcyclists in Columbus County earlier this month.
Alexandra Comstock, 17, has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle.
The fatal collision happened on NC 410 in Tabor City just before 1 p.m. on Oct. According to troopers, two motorcycles were stopped in the roadway at the site of another crash when a Jeep behind the motorcycles failed to stop and struck them.
John Nash III, 30, and Whitney Jackson, 29, both of Franklinton, were on one of the motorcycles. Jackson died at the scene while Nash passed away at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach on Oct. 12.
The two riders on the second motorcycle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
