Jacksonville, FL : Three people dead, 1 seriously injured after SUV swerves and strikes tree in northeastern Florida on Saturday afternoon, December 26, 2015
Three people are dead after their SUV struck a tree and caught fire in northeast Florida.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the Ford Bronco driven by 45-year-old Robert Myers of Marietta, Georgia, started swerving erratically as it drove through Baker County on Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle then drove off the highway and struck a pine tree. According to the report, Myers and three passengers were ejected from the SUV, which caught fire.
Myers was seriously injured and taken to a Jacksonville hospital. The highway patrol report says all three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two victims have been identified as 48-year-old Pamella Myers and 15-year-old Michael Myers, both of Marietta, Georgia. The identity of the third passenger was not immediately released, pending notification of the family.
