Late Sunday night at around midnight a bicyclist, Richard B. Navarra, 48, of Battle Ground was killed on state Route 503, north of Battle Ground.
Both Navarra and the silver Toyota 2007 Yaris he collided with were traveling southbound. According to police reports, the vehicle struck the rear of the bicycle and ejected the rider to the shoulder of the road.
Police report that Navarra was not wearing a helmet and that he died of injuries. The driver, Cody Eisenhart, 18, of Vancouver was not injured in the crash.
No decision has been made yet as to whether or not charges will be filed. State patrol are currently investigating the matter.
