A two-car crash on Indiana 218 in Wabash County killed a Marion man Monday night, state police said today.
Around 9:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the report of a crash on Indiana 218 near County Road 600 East, state police at Peru said in a statement.
Police said Danny Drabenstot, 59, of Marion, was driving his pickup truck west on Indiana 218 when he crossed the center line and struck a car driven east by Maekinzie Seacat, 27, of Gas City.
Drabenstot's truck then went off the road and came to rest on its passenger side. Drabenstot, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected, the statement said.
Drabenstot died at the scene, police said. Seacat and her passenger, Caleb Webber, 26, of Gas City were taken to a local hospital; Webber was treated and released. Seacat was later taken to a Fort Wayne hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury.
The crash is under investigation, police said.
