Phoenix, AZ : 25-year-old man killed in Phoenix crash near 19th Avenue and Thomas Road on Thursday, 15th August 2019

Phoenix police on Friday identified the man who died in a crash near 19th Avenue and Thomas Road on Thursday as 25-year-old Francisco Manquero.

The crash happened just after 9 a.m. Thursday when Manquero's Chevrolet Impala was headed north on 19th Avenue, crossed over into the southbound lanes of traffic and crashed into a Ford F-150 driven by a 57-year-old woman, Phoenix police spokeswoman Sgt. Maggie Cox said.

Manquero was pronounced dead on scene. It's unknown if he was impaired at the time of the crash, Cox said.

The woman was transported to a hospital with "non-incapacitating injuries," Cox said.

An investigation is ongoing.
