INDIANAPOLIS, IN : A single-vehicle crash on Monday, August 7, 2017

A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Anderson man Monday afternoon.

Indiana State Police identified the victim as Richard Morgan, 35.

Around 3:30 p.m. police and emergency crews were dispatched to a crash on northbound I-465, approximately one mile south of the U.S. 40 exit on the city's east side.

According to the state police news release, a witness to the crash stated that the man gradually drove off the right side of the road before the Junk King Co. box truck began to roll ejecting the driver.

Troopers were working to determine the reason why Morgan drove off the road. It is believed that Morgan was not wearing a seat belt.

A single northbound lane of I-465 was restricted for approximately three hours while investigators documented and cleared the scene.
