DEFIANCE, MO : 80-year-old man was killed while riding his Harley Davidson on May, Sunday 7th 2017

An 80-year-old man was killed while riding his Harley Davidson Sunday along Highway 94.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Anthony Brown of St. Peters was riding his 2012 motorcycle eastbound along Highway 94 at 12:44 p.m. in Defiance when he rear-ended a 2009 Honda Civic.

The Civic's 25-year-old driver was stopped for traffic, attempting to make a left turn at Holden Road, when Brown failed to stop in time, hit the Civic and was ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at Progress West Hospital, the highway patrol said.

Damage to the car and motorcycle was minor, according to the highway patrol.
