Wappinger, NY : Four people injured, including a young boy after a three-car crash in Wappinger on Tuesday, April 7, 2015
State police say a Hudson Valley woman and her 5-year-old grandson are in a Westchester hospital after they were injured in a three-vehicle crash.
Troopers say 68-year-old Beverly Farwell of Poughkeepsie was traveling on a road in the Dutchess County town of Wappinger around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when for an unknown reason she crossed into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a sport utility vehicle.
The SUV swerved to avoid Farwell's car and hit a street sign. Farwell's car continued traveling in the wrong lane and hit a second SUV.
Troopers say Farwell and her grandson were taken to Westchester Medical Center, where both are listed in stable condition.
A woman and her 17-year-old daughter riding in the second SUV were treated at a hospital and released.
Farwell was ticketed for failing to keep right.
