Fort Myers,FL: 2 injured in Fort Myers crash on August, Wednesday 2nd 2017

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Fort Myers.

Police said a vehicle heading west on SR-82 ran a red light and hit two other cars that were heading north on Veronica Shoemaker.

Emergency crews rescued one of the occupants who was trapped. Two passengers were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

The vehicles involved were a black Toyota Camry, a gray Camry, and a Silver Kia Sedona. It is unclear which vehicle ran the red light.

The lanes were being cleared as of 11 a.m.
