Rosendale, NY : Man charged with DWI, vehicular manslaughter in fatal crash on Friday, September 26, 2014
Ulster County sheriff's officials say a 23-year-old man has been arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving after he failed to stop at an intersection and hit an SUV, killing the driver.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. Friday in the town of Rosendale.
Officials tell The Times Herald-Record that Tyler Grable plowed into a Jeep Liberty driven by 50-year-old Kelly Utter.
Utter died at Kingston Hospital. A passenger, 19-year-old Joseph Utter, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Grable was arraigned Saturday in Town of Rosendale Court and sent to Ulster County Jail on $15,000 cash bail and $100,000 bond.
Information on a lawyer for Grable wasn't immediately available.
