Knoxville, TN : UT football graduate assistant in car crash on Tuesday night, April 5, 2016

A graduate assistant with the Tennessee football program is fine after he was involved in a car accident following Tuesday night's practice.

Caleb Cox, who's in his first year with the Volunteers, was taken to the hospital after his vehicle was struck by another that ran a red light.

He did not spend the night in the hospital, though, and was "just a little sore," Tennessee spokesman Ryan Robinson told the Times Free Press on Wednesday morning.

Cox is expected to return to work in the next couple of days.

The Marietta, Ga., native played wide receiver at Kentucky Christian University and coached the position at his alma mater before joining Tennessee's staff earlier this offseason.
