Gastonia, NC : Man fled, wrecked car on April, Thursday 13th 2017
What started as a regular traffic stop for a driver not burning his headlights turned into a wreck and a chase early Thursday morning.
That’s according to the arrest warrants of Elijah Louis Pearson, a Gastonia man charged with fleeing/eluding arrest, reckless driving to endanger, hit and run and driving without a license.
The incident occurred around Bordeaux Avenue, where the 26-year-old Pearson wrecked his car and caused damage to his front bumper and to the cement curbing on the street. Pearson fled the scene after the wreck, arrest warrants show.
When Gastonia Police apprehended him, they found 51 Xanax pills and less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
Pearson was booked into Gaston County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
