Mesa, AZ : Mesa school teacher was killed in a motorcycle crash on October 16th 2014.

Friends and family are remembering a Mesa school teacher tonight. 42-year-old Marcus Reid died in a motorcycle crash last night while on his way home from work. "He touched everyone's lives in some way or another, he was loved and respected by everyone here, he showed us the same respect, unlike any other teacher I've had," said a student. Reid was well loved and had been with the district for 8 years. "I graduated almost 4 years ago, I came back and saw him all the time, he was like a best friend, he's like a second dad to me, we talked all the time, he pushed me to graduate, pushed me to graduate college," said a former student. He was a technology teacher at Sun Valley High School. "Mr Reid was a special teacher who could see the potential in all his students, no matter what he wanted them to succeed," said another student.
