PORT EVERGLADES, FL : 2 transported after multi-vehicle crash in Port Everglades on Thursday, 30th May 2019

Rescue crews transported a man and a woman to the hospital after they were involved a multi-vehicle crash in Port Everglades.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue crews responded to the area of Eller Drive and Mclntosh Road just before 10 a.m., Friday.

7Skyforce HD flew over the scene where a tractor trailer, a small SUV and a dump truck on its side could be seen in the middle of an intersection.

Firefighters worked quickly to cut the windshield of the white Ford Escape as they tried to free the driver.

It has since been brought up into the upright position as crews work to clean up the mess.

Paramedics transported the drivers behind the wheel of the dump truck and the Escape to Broward Health Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to investigators, the tractor trailer was entering the port when it was unable to stop and collided with the Ford.

The force of the impact caused the SUV to hit a nearby dump truck, which, as a result, flipped onto its side.

“While we don’t know the circumstances that led up the accident, we do know the three vehicles collided,” said BSFR Chief Michael Kane.
