One person is dead and four are injured after multiple crashes on I-95 northbound Sunday night.
St. Johns County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene near International Golf Parkway around 10:30 p.m.

Eleven cars, including a semi, were involved in four separate accidents, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

James Sabaka, 81, was killed on the scene. A female passenger, with the same last name, had to be cut out of the vehicle. She was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries but has
since improved to serious condition.

Three others were hospitalized with minor injuries.

FHP says two cars were possibly racing and may have contributed to the collision.

Charges are pending their investigation.
