The Colorado State Patrol has identified the Colorado Springs man killed in a head-on, two-vehicle crash on Colorado 115 near Penrose on Tuesday night.
The crash also left two others injured.
Anthony Mann, 41, was driving a 1998 Honda Civic and traveling northbound on Colorado 115 four miles north of Penrose when he drove into the southbound lanes and collided head on with a 2001 Dodge 2500 pickup truck.
"The Honda came to rest in the southbound lanes and caught fire, eventually becoming fully engulfed," the patrol said.
Mann was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. A passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries in the wreck.
"The cause of the crash is still being investigated," the patrol said in a news release.
