Pine Bluff, AR : 1 killed, 3 hurt in a accident near Gould on Saturday, April 1, 2017

A Star City woman was killed and three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident west of Gould Saturday.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Chelsey Cranton, 22, was westbound on Arkansas 114 when the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Cranton was ejected from the vehicle.

The report said that Aspen Leigh Conrad, 20, Brian Carter, 23, both of Star City, and a juvenile who were passengers in the vehicle were injured and taken to Delta Memorial Hospital at Dumas for treatment.

Trooper Taylor W. Woods reported that the weather was clear and the roadway was dry when the accident occurred at 4:36 p.m.

The death was the 114th reported so far this year on Arkansas’ highways.
