Lake Charles, LA : David W. Guidry, 19, died after motorcycle crash on Dave Dugas Road in Sulphur on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2015

Calcasieu Parish sheriff's deputies say a 19-year-old Sulphur man died when his motorcycle struck a tractor that was turning into a driveway.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Sulphur.

Deputies say David Guidry was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to pass a tractor that was pulling mowing equipment. Investigators say the tractor made a left turn and was struck by the motorcycle.

Deputies say Guidry was pronounced dead at the scene.
