One person suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash in Sandwich

One person suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Cotuit and Farmersville roads.

The injuries were deemed serious but not life-threatening, said a Sandwich Fire Department spokeswoman. The person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.

Two other people involved in the accident were uninjured, the spokeswoman said.

The Department of Public Works was called to the scene to clear debris from the road.

The Sandwich Police Department confirmed there had been a car accident but would not provide further details pending the release of a prepared statement.
