Hazlehurst, MS : Driver seriously injured after collision with 18 wheeler in Copiah County on Monday morning, Sep 21, 2015

A driver of a pickup truck suffered serious injuries in a Copiah County wreck early Monday morning.

Eric Henry from MS DPS says the two vehicle wreck happened just before 6 am on MS 27 at the I 55 off ramp.

He says an 18 wheeler was attempting to cross over 27 from ramp when it was struck by a Chevrolet pick up traveling south.

Both the 18 wheeler driver and the driver of pick up truck were taken to local hospital.

We're told the driver of the pickup truck suffered "serious injuries."
