The driver killed in a crash in south Charlotte has been identified as recent USC graduate Kyle Lord, Pineville police say.
The fatal crash was reported around 7 a.m. on eastbound Park Road, closing the roadway between Willow Ridge Road and Park Crossings Drive.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Lord, 25, ran off the road, hit a tree, struck a brick sign and then rolled several times. Lord was ejected and later pronounced dead by Medic.
A nearby worker found Lord's body in a parking lot, police say.
There's no word on possible contributing factors. No other vehicles were involved.
