LAMAR, PA : Driver killed in crash on Route 64 on Friday, October, 13th 2017

Sterling A. Hardy, 21, of Belleville, was killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 64 in Porter Township.

According to state police, John E. Zook, 48, of Lewisburg was stopped on Route 64 waiting to turn left into Nittany Wood Crafters when Hardy came from behind and rear-ended the trailer of Zook’s 2017 Dodge 5500 truck.

Hardy, who was driving a 2001 Saturn, suffered blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Zook was not hurt, police said.

Police said they were assisted at the scene by Nittany Valley Fire Department, PennDOT and the Clinton County coroner’s office.
