Mount Vernon, MO : Two drivers suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at Route H On Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

Both drivers suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on Route H, three miles south of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Michael A. Harmon, 22, of Monett, and Teresa J. Wells, 53, of Springfield, were taken to Mercy Hospital Springfield, the state patrol said.

Harmon was driving a southbound car that crossed the center line and struck Wells northbound vehicle head-on, the patrol said.
