Hamburg,PA : Hamburg man charged in fatal motorcycle crash on December, Monday 11th 2017

A Hamburg man faces charges of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence stemming from a motorcycle accident in which a passenger was killed in July, authorities said Monday.

Shawn W. Balthaser, 49, was driving when Yvonne Rohrbach, 52, also of Hamburg, died at the scene of the accident at Route 222 and Mill Creek Road in Upper Macungie Township.
Investigators determined that Balthaser had caused the death of Rohrbach while driving under the influence and acting recklessly or with gross negligence, according to the Lehigh County district attorney's office.
