Polk County, FL: Naples man dies after RV blows tire, crashes on I-4 in Polk County on Sunday, 11th November 2018

A Naples man was killed Sunday afternoon after a tire blew out on his RV while he was driving on Interstate 4 in Polk County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 4:56 p.m. near the exit of Kathleen Road, troopers said. Jon Macdonough, 47, died at the scene after the RV swerved off I-4, struck a light pole and overturned.

Macdonough was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, troopers said. There were no other passengers in the RV, troopers said.
