READING, PA : Injuries reported in car crash in the area of North 11th and Buttonwood streets on Wednesday, 3rd July 2019

A crash in Reading has left one person dead and others injured.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the area of North 11th and Buttonwood streets.

Initial reports indicated several people, including at least one child, were injured in the crash.

Mirta Claudio-Castro, 51, later died at the hospital, according to the Berks County coroner's office.

There was a large police presence as crews blocked off roads to investigate the crash and clear away the wreckage.

Reading police have not yet released information about what happened, how many vehicles were involved, or how serious the other injuries were.
