Memphis, TN : One person was dead after hit by car at Crump Boulevard and Mason Street On Sunday, May 1st, 2016

A woman is in jail after a crash that killed a man crossing the street.

The crash happened at the corner of Crump Boulevard and Mason Street.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition and later died.

The driver, 39-year-old Marcia Pegues, stayed on the scene. She was later charged with driving without insurance on a suspended driver's license.

The victim has not been identified.
