BOLTON, CT : Killingly man killed in Route 6 accident on Tuesday, 4th October 2016
A four-car accident on Route 6 late Tuesday afternoon left a Killingly man dead and two others injured, one in serious condition, state police say.
Anthony Casenelli, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to state police from Troop K barracks.
According to the incident report, the crash occurred at 5:05 p.m. on Hop River Road near the intersection of Johnson Road. Two vehicles traveling west and two vehicles traveling east, including Casenelli’s, collided, police said.
Lynn Rookey, 54, of Simsbury, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Hartford Hospital, police said.
The drivers of the two other vehicles in the crash, Richard Lunt, 20, of Columbia, sustained minor injuries, while Laura Singe, 48, of Andover, was not injured, police said.
The accident remains under investigation, and any witnesses are asked to contact state police at Troop K by calling 860-465-5400.
