WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA : A single-car accident on Monday, June 12, 2017

A stretch of Westfield Road/Route 20 is closed after a single-car accident at around 4:30 p.m.
Police said the road is shut down between Old Westfield Road and Dewey Street, a distance of less than half a mile, until further notice.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
Mayor Will Reichelt tweeted that the West Springfield Fire Department rescued at least one person using the Jaws of Life.
