Joplin, MO : Driver airlifted after weekend accident on Friday, October, 13th 2017

A Southwest Missouri man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 86 in Fairview in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Robert Griffith, 57, of Shell Knob, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital Springfield in serious condition.

Griffith was eastbound on a motorcycle when he ran off the right side of the roadway. He was thrown from his vehicle when it overturned.
