Granite Falls, MN : Two injured in Renville County crash on Monday afternoon, January 2, 2017

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident Monday afternoon on icy roads near Granite Falls.

According to the State Patrol, Caitlin R. Leonard, 23, of Tracy, was driving a 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera west on U.S. Highway 212 just east of Granite Falls when she lost control of the vehicle around a curve, slid into the ditch, hit a sign and rolled.

Leonard and a passenger, Stephan L. Streich, 21, of Montevideo, were taken to the Granite Falls Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Department and ambulance assisted at the scene od of the accident, which was reported at 4:33 p.m.
