BLOUNT COUNTY, AL : Cleveland man killed in head-on collision on Friday, 6th September 2024

A man from Cleveland was killed in a head-on collision Friday afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash happened on Alabama State Route 160 near the 2 mile marker in Blount County.

Police have identified the man as 64-year-old Gregory S. Cantrell.

According to ALEA trooper Cody Farrar, Cantrell was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver in the second vehicle involved was taken to UAB for treatment.
