EL PASO COUNTY, CO : 1 killed in deadly Highway 94 crash on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2020

A driver was killed after losing control of his car and spinning into the path of an oncoming SUV.

State Patrol says the driver was traveling east on Highway 94 but crossed into the westbound lane and crashed into the passenger side of a Hyundai Kona. The driver in the Chevy died at the scene and the Hyundai driver was transported to the hospital with injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The crash was reported just after 6 Monday evening and shut down Highway 94 from Space Village Avenue to Corral Valley Road for about three hours.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but alcohol and drug use are not suspected.
