SOUTH BEND, IN : Eastbound lanes of US-20 Bypass closed due to crash on Monday, 18th March 2024

Drivers found themselves in standstill traffic on Monday morning because of a crash on the US-20 Bypass.

The eastbound lanes of the US-20 Bypass were closed between Michigan Street and Ironwood Drive, causing lengthy backups for commuters trying to get to school or work.

WNDU 16 News Now is told the crash happened around 6:20 a.m.

Multiple crashes were reported across the area on Monday morning due to widespread slick conditions.
