MERCED, CA : Crash nearly sends power pole high-voltage lines to the ground on Sunday, 26th November 2023

An investigation is underway following a crash Sunday in Merced.

The Merced Police Department says officers were called to Canal and 11th Street after a vehicle crashed into a power pole around 3:19 p.m.

This, in turn, nearly caused the power pole to fall and the crash also damaged the high-voltage power lines.

Officers say no injuries were reported following the crash and PG&E was called to assess the power lines.
