A Forest man is dead in a single-vehicle crash Friday in Hardin County.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, at 8:50 p.m. Kevin Sampson was eastbound on county Road 20 just west of the village of Forest when he drove his 2006 Chevy truck off the right side of the road, overcorrected and lost control. He was ejected from his truck as it rolled several times before coming to rest against some trees in the yard of 17776 county Road 20.
Sampson was taken by Life Flight to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s in Lima, but died a few hours later.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
