Fredericksburg, VA : Spotsylvania man dies in car crash on Stubbs Bridge Road early Sunday, May 15, 2016

A Spotsylvania County man was killed early Sunday in a single-car crash on Stubbs Bridge Road, Virginia State Police said.

Thomas Matthew Mandeville, 38, was fatally injured when the 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse he was driving ran off the road while trying to take a curve, state police Sgt. F.L. Tyler said. The accident occurred at 12:16 a.m. about a mile south of Lawyer’s Road.

Tyler said Mandeville was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the trooper said.
There were no passengers in the vehicle, Tyler said.
