Los Angeles Clippers star DeAndre Jordan were involved in a car accident Tuesday in Playa del Rey, California.
TMZ.com reported that Jordan was part of the accident involving a black Tesla and an SUV. The wreck left one person hospitalized, according to the report. Clippers teammate Chris Paul later arrived on the scene to assist Jordan. Paul and a Clippers staff member helped Jordan get to the airport for the team's road trip to New Orleans.
An ambulance, fire truck, and police also were dispatched to the location. USA Today also reported that the accident left a motorist with minor injuries. Jordan's Telsa was totaled in the crash.
"The injured party was transported to the hospital after he complained of pain," LAPD spokesman Sal Ramirez told USA Today. "The injury is going to be non-serious."
The Clippers battle the New Orleans Pelicans at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Smoothie King Center. Jordan, 28, is averaging 11.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. He is due $21.1 million this season and $22.6 million in 2017.
"I feel all right. I feel all right," Jordan told reporters Wednesday morning. "I'm playing tonight, so that's good. We can't afford for anybody else to be out. I'm just very fortunate that I'm OK and everybody else that was involved is OK."
