Sanford,FL : Woman dies in Putnam County crash on December, Monday 25th 2017

A Sanford woman died Monday after a crash on U.S. 17 in Putnam County.

Rachel Roach, 32, was driving a 2006 Toyota Scion west Monday at about 9:30 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. While approaching Thompson Road, the Scion crossed into the center median, striking two trees, and overturned onto the eastbound lanes.

Roach was not wearing a seat belt. She was flown to Orange Park Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
