Las Vegas, NV : 22-year-old man died in motorcycle crash on October 24th 2014.
A 22-year-old man died early today after losing control of a motorcycle on a freeway interchange and falling onto the highway below.
The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. on the Summerlin Parkway flyover from northbound U.S. 95, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was in the HOV lane on the flyover when he lost control, striking the right retaining wall, Trooper Loy Hixson said. He was thrown from the motorcycle and fell onto the southbound lanes of U.S. 95, Hixson said.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
He was identified as a resident of Arizona, but it is believed he had ties to Las Vegas, Hixson said.
